The other sacrament of service in addition to Matrimony is Holy Orders. In Holy Orders men are ordained to serve the Church by celebrating the sacraments, preaching God's word, serving those in need, and building a more just community. The word "ordain" means "to set aside." Bishops, priests, and deacons are set aside to serve the Church in a special way. Ordained men serve the community in celebrating the sacraments, preaching God's word, helping others in need and guiding the community to become a better sign of God's peace, love, and justice on earth. Learn more about this sacrament in paragraphs 1536-1600 in the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
